Prayer @ THRIVE Cape Cod

There will be several opportunities during the THRIVE Cape Cod 2019 Conference to engage in prayer for what God is doing through his church on Cape Cod.

Pray For Cape Cod Prayer Meetings

On Saturday during the 10:30 am and 1:00 pm Breakout Sessions, Dr. Mamdouh Riad, Pastor Mike Allen, and other leaders from the Glory of God on Cape Cod prayer ministry (see bios below) will lead a time of focused prayer in the Prayer Room to pray in unity for thriving churches and thriving communities on Cape Cod. The meetings will include prayer for revival in the church and for salvation of the lost on Cape Cod, plus a brief exhortation on prayer and a time of musical worship.

Prayer Room

During the conference, a designated Prayer Room will be available for use by all attendees (see schedule below). The Prayer Room will also serve as the location for the two Pray For Cape Cod facilitated prayer meetings on Saturday. The THRIVE Prayer Room will be located in the kindergarten classroom in the "Kids Town" area on the first floor of Cape Cod Church (follow signs from the main lobby).

Dr. Mamdouh Riad - Thrive Prayer Coordinator

Dr. Mamdouh Riad serves as the THRIVE Cape Cod Prayer Coordinator and leads a team of those called to pray for the THRIVE movement throughout the year. During the THRIVE conference Mamdouh and the prayer team will facilitate prayer meetings during the Saturday Breakout Sessions to pray for the conference itself as well as for the larger purpose of THRIVE - widespread spiritual awakening (revival) on Cape Cod.

Dr. Riad is a board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist with over 35 years of professional service, including the last 25 on Cape Cod in Hyannis. He currently serves as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Health Network, a Physician-Hospital Organization (PHO) created to pursue partnerships aimed at improving the quality of healthcare on Cape Cod while simultaneously driving down costs.

Mamdouh's non-medical passion is prayer - and specifically the power of corporate prayer in bringing spiritual awakening and revival. To that end, he leads The Glory of God on Cape Coda group of pastors and leaders from churches and denominations across Cape Cod who meet to pray and pursue a vision of "coming together in humility, prayer, and intercession, to seek the Lord's MANIFEST PRESENCE among us, and the subsequent outbreak of revival and a great harvest on Cape Cod."

Dr. Riad and his wife Cynthia have three grown daughters.

Pastor Mike Allen - Pray For Cape Cod Facilitator

Rev. Dr. Michael S. Allen and his wife, Annemarie, have been married for 33 years. They met each other as friends in college and found a personal relationship with Jesus at that same time. They both found Christ through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as Mike played college football at East Central Oklahoma University in Ada, OK. Since college, Mike has served on staff with Young Life, as a high school football coach in Kansas, assistant pastor and youth pastor at churches in Oklahoma, youth pastor at Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA. Mike also served as a speaker and worship leader at various camps and conferences, and now as a pastor on Cape Cod. Mike and Annemarie moved to the Cape with the express desire to plant a church for people who don't go to church. They have four children; Jacob (& his wife Chelsey - with amazing granddaughter Sophia and grandson William!), Seth, Sarah (& her husband Jake Prescott), and Hannah. Mike has studied at Fuller Theological Seminary, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and received his Masters in Divinity at Seminary of the East. He was ordained in 1996. Mike earned his Doctorate (D.Min.) in preaching at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2017.
